A victim EPILEPSY Little Chalfont form swam through the storms and the excruciating pain to complete his swim the English Channel.
Alexia O'Mara Mary Gold Walk, Little Chalfont, began his epic challenge, Friday, 26 July at 10 clock and ended Saturday 27 July in 14 hours and 53 minutes.
It raises funds for the Epilepsy Society in Chalfont St Peter, and she also hopes to increase awareness of the disease.
Miss O'Mara, 25, said: "The first four hours were the most difficult and then I started to enjoy it I reached the French waters within 10 hours, but the tide was very strong." .
Miss O'Mara, a member of the Chesham Swimming Club earlier formed three years for swimming. In August last year, she swam to Jersey and she did regular training swims at Dover.
She said: "When I was finished, I felt euphoric I trained a lot for them.."

The trainee who has worked as a research assistant at the Amersham School this school year, has not had a seizure while swimming. However, compared to other swimmers, they had to swim near the boat in case there were problems.
High school students of the former Dr Challoner, Miss O'Mara said: "I have never been in so much pain, all my muscles were burning, it was like constantly being hit by a car.
"It was horrible., But I was on a buzz when I got home. I loved it and I would."
An effect that swimming on Miss O'Mara had a tongue was swollen from all the salt water.
She said: "I still think there is still a stigma associated with epilepsy, but I hope people will see that everyone can do what they want when they put their minds to it swimming reassured me that. I do not miss anything. "
The intrepid swimmer hopes other open water swim in the coming years, perhaps from England to Ireland.
Miss O'Mara has raised £ 4,000 so far and aims to raise £ 5,000.
